Helena Choi

Localisation Lead

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Helena serves as TNN’s Localisation Lead, supporting the charity’s localisation and communications work. She adapts mental health resources, volunteer training materials, social media content, and public education initiatives into culturally relevant and accessible Cantonese for Hong Kong audiences.

Her academic research on gender, migrant labour, and the law has shaped her interest in how systems affect people’s access to support. She believes mental health services should not only be available, but should also feel safe, inclusive, and tailored to the communities they hope to serve.

In her free time, Helena plays and teaches the violin, and never misses an opportunity to talk about her many cats.
